How to: Lead the Change

Meet Claire Hodgson MBE, CEO of Diverse City and some of our Unexpected Leaders from across the UK and Bosnia who are leading in new ways, informed by their life experiences.

Diverse City have developed 10 Unexpected Leaders across the UK and Bosnia, as part of our Extraordinary Bodies community work. The successfully appointed leaders have received mentoring, experience with the company during the Weighting tours. The leaders have also received bursaries to further their leadership skills, giving them the opportunity to progress professionally, to influence and lead their communities.

We ask our leaders… What does the experience of being disabled have in common with leading an organisation? How does the experience of being a refugee inform how you lead?

We ask you… To think about your own leadership differently and work out your uniqueness.

Who is this event for?
This interactive discussion is for anyone interested in leadership, especially any new, up and coming leaders. This is for anyone interested in thinking about and understanding what good leadership really means.

Why is this part of Doing Things Differently?
We want to encourage people to think in new ways about who might be our future leaders. We want to inspire and challenge.  This event will inspire leadership and encourage leaders to be considered from every part of society.
